Although the main attraction at Barnsdale will always be the wonderful range of gardens and the opportunity for expert help and advice, they also frequently have art based activities. As usual with Barnsdale, it isn’t just a matter of watching and learning but always includes the chance to take part and get stuck in to the activity in question. So, here are some art based activities to consider:
Paint your own pot. The title speaks for itself and this on August 5th.
Willow Weaving – August 26th
The Big Draw – join one of the events in a month long festival that sees activities all
over Britain. This is Saturdays in October – the 6th, 13Th and 20th.
Watercolour Painting – On October 9th, with the theme ‘Boats and Reflections’, noted
watercolourist Sandra Peck will give demonstrations and invite you to try your hand at
painting a coastal scene.
Garden Photography – a full day tutored session with plenty of opportunity to put what
you learn into practice in this lovely setting.
Not surprisingly, some of these activities have limited places and it is sensible to book in advance. You can find all the details including costs on the Barnsdale Gardens website.
